Shoes As A Fashion Statement

The shoes you choose to wear can make or break your otherwise carefully put-together ensemble.

A pair of high-heeled shoes can dress you up like nothing else can. They add a touch of glamour and loads of pizzazz to any outfit, whether you wear them with a pair of old jeans or an off-shoulder designer gown. Teaming up your high heeled shoes with a regular old outfit will transform it into a striking statement of style.

Though an elegant pair of stilettos is guaranteed to create a fashion statement, high heels shoes are not for every occasion or for just about any outfit. If you choose your footwear astutely, you can create a stellar look even with a pair of low-heels.

Designer shoes in an assortment of styles and heel-sizes are all the rage and women have a wide range to choose from. However, they can costs hundreds, and sometimes thousands of dollars. Therein lies the eternal dilemma for most fashion-conscious women- To buy or not to buy? Most fashion conscious women have acutely honed the skill of buying a pair of designer pencil-heeled shoes and walking the fine line between their priorities and their bank balance.

Are stilettos and pencil-heels comfortable? There are those who say comfort has no role in fashion. While there may be some truth to that, it takes a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ to look graceful and poised while uncomfortably perched about 4 or 5 inches off the floor in your stilettos. If wearing heels is a must, make sure you wear them regularly and get comfortable in them. You can only make a fashion statement if you are capable of walking across the room confidently or dancing the night away comfortably, not if you spend the night in the shadows, teetering precariously in your designer heels.
